Uniform
We are proud to be a part of Duckmanton Primary School and our school uniform helps us to identify with this.
Our school uniform is a compulsory part of attending our school and consists of the following:
- Red cardigan/sweatshirt/fleece/jumper
- White or Red polo shirt
or
- White shirt/blouse
- Grey or black skirt, pinafore dress, trousers/shorts
- Black, sensible footwear
- #TeamYear6 Red Embroided hoodie (Y6 only)
Tops embroidered with the school logo are available to order through the school office at reasonable prices.
Ready for school?
In order to promote a working environment and ethos, jewellery, make-up, nail polish and unnatural or extreme hairstyles are not permitted as part of the school uniform. We ask that parents support us in ensuring that jewellery is limited to lobe-pierced earings and a watch if desired.
Children should also ensure that they have a book-bag and water bottle which is clearly labelled. As a healthy school, only water is permitted and those who attended with juice will be asked to refill their bottle with water when they arrive to school.
#TeamYear6 Hoodies
Year 6 Hoodies can be ordered via the Y6 Class Teacher. Hoodies are only part of the Year 6 school uniform and only those bought through the school. Other hoodies are not permitted as part of the school uniform.
All children are required to change for P.E lessons and kit should consist of a plain, white t-shirt, black shorts and plimsolls. Whenever possible children will have a weekly outdoor games lesson and may, at certain times of the year, need additional items such as a hat and sun protection in the summer or sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms in the winter. More information about our PE kit can be found in our PE section.

Please ensure that all items of uniform are clearly labelled with your child's name.
Hoodies, logos, designer wear do not help reinforce discipline and it is notable that behaviour can deteriorate when children are out of uniform or are visibly seen not to fit in.
Children who are not presented in the appropriate school uniform will be given loan items to wear for the duration of the school day and uniform reminders will be sent home. Your support in ensuring that your child is school ready is really helpful thank you.
Parents who need support in financing school uniform should contact the school. We have a stock of 'pre-loved' uniform in excellent condition that we sell to parents for a very low cost. Any parents who have surplus uniform in good condition are welcome to donate items to school in order to ensure our stock remains good.
