Here you can find our SEND Policy which outlines how we can support pupils with additional needs.
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is Mr Joel Beeden.
Your child's class teacher will remain responsible for supporting and teaching your child effectively in order to meet their needs. They will seek and act upon advice from our school SENCO as they feel appropriate.
It is always best to contact your child's class teacher if you wish to discuss the support they are being given in school. In the event that more information is required, your child's class teacher may recommend making an appointment to speak with Mr Beeden. Please be aware that Mr Beeden has teaching commitments in addition to his SENCO role. The best way to contact him would be through the main school office.
Mr Beeden's contact details can be found in our school's SEND report which is attached below.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Policy - 2019
Our policy sets out the ways in which we support children and families with special educational needs and disabilities. It outlines what you should do if you have any concerns about your child's needs, or if your child has a disability and needs support.
Derbyshire County Council Local Offer
The purpose of the local offer is to enable parents and young people to see more clearly what services are available in their area and how to access them. Our SENCo liaises closely with service providers in Derbyshire, and is a point of contact. Parents and young people can use this link to find information about services and advice on how to access them directly.
