Our pupils are taught in three age groups:
- Early Years and Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Key Stage 1 - 5-7 years old
- Key Stage 2 - 7-11 years old
At our school we are concerned with the all round development of your child; we aim to enable each pupil to achieve confidence and success.
Delivery of the National Curriculum is carefully planned, monitored and evaluated. We involve a variety of approaches for the teaching and learning appropriate to the needs of the children, providing continuity and progression of educational experience. English, Mathematics and Science are known as the core subjects. Computing, History, Geography, RE, Art, Design and Technology, Music, and Physical Education (P.E.) are known as foundation Subjects.
The wider curriculum includes Personal, Social and Health Education which includes Relationships and Sex Education at an age appropriate level. In addition, as part of our Personal Development, we offer a variety of school clubs. We also take the older junior class on an annual residential visit.
We support the personal development of our pupils by offering Learning Mentor support where needed during their time with us. This may include our Jigsaw Nurture Group which is delivered by our Learning Mentors.
